Walk-in Tattoos WELCOME!

Tattoo by Kayla Gibson

If we had a dollar for every time someone wanted to set up a “walk-in appointment” we’d buy you a beer, dear reader 😂

If you’re reading this blog post, you’re likely new to getting tattooed, and that’s great!

We all got our first tattoo once, and inevitably learned along the way. We get emails all the time looking to see if they can set up tattoo appointments, or, asking if they can just walk-in.

The answer is…YES! Both options are available, but appointments are really only used when working on large pieces, or if you have a relationship already with your preferred artist.

SO! Let’s break down what a walk-in is and isn’t.

What is a walk-in tattoo:

  • A small to medium tattoo (hand size or smaller)

  • Simple-ish design, think American Traditional style or linework tattoos - NOT a pet portrait

  • FUN! Walk-ins are awesome for clients and artists because they’re generally pretty straightforward and classic designs that will stand the test of time

  • For people who don’t have time limitations - sometimes you’ll have to wait for an artist to become available, you can always call us ahead of time to see if we’re on a wait for walk-ins though.

  • For people who have at least $100 to spend - that’s our shop's minimum

  • Walk-in tattoos are our favorite thing to do! Honestly, we love walk-ins — they’re fun, spontaneous, and keep us on our feet!

We have tons of flash to choose from, line drawings from our artists that they’d love to tattoo, and also happy hour flash sheets and a Get What You Get machine that is all appropriate for a walk-in tattoo.

What a Walk-in Tattoo ISN’T:

  • A large tattoo project like a sleeve or back piece. We may have time to do a consultation and set up an appointment for a future date, but note that artists do require deposits for appointments.

  • Something to do when you’re drunk or high — we can’t tattoo you and won’t, so don’t ask!

  • For minors — we cannot tattoo persons under the age of 18 in the state of Oregon, no “ifs”, “ands”, or “buts”!

  • For overly complex designs — we’d love to do that pet portrait for you, but it deserves more time and attention from our artists, so set up an appointment instead.

  • A drawing/brainstorming session for you and your artist — Be sure to know what you want, because having your artist redraw your tattoo 4 times isn’t it. That’s a time commitment that’s more appropriate for an appointment.

  • A face/neck tattoo. We won’t tattoo your face as a walk-in — sorry.

  • A time for you and all of your friends to be rowdy in the shop. Only the person getting tattooed will be allowed back while being tattooed, and while we have a lobby, our other artists have clients they’re tattooing, so don’t treat the shop like a stop in your bar hop, be respectful and we’ll all have a good time.

Tattooing has changed since the pandemic, with many shops not taking walk-ins anymore, but we have always and will always take walk-ins - they’re our bread and butter, they are fun, and we take great pride in being a walk-in shop.
